The Great Mountain burning with fire that was cast into the sea...
God wrote the Book of Revelation and worked through history in such a way that we see the prophecies written therein fulfilled on many levels. We see one such fulfillment in a brother’s excellent commentary found by clicking here. But today we see other literal fulfillments of these holy Scriptures being fulfilled.
I have felt great sadness since I first heard about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill which began on April 20, 2010, a sadness which seems to be arising from deep within my spirit. Why sadness? Because in my lifetime I am witnessing the literal destruction of the earth. I am watching in horror as once blue seas turn into murky, blood-like liquid, killing all that comes into its path.
These are the beginning days of the great Day of the LORD. This is a new web site dedicated to revealing through the Word of God what God is doing in these dark days. Stay tuned.

I agree with your comments, and like the new website! Obviously prophetic of the “dark” day(s) we are in.
I know that this year is the year that the 2730 years (390 x 7 times more) comes to an end (from 721bc). This means “no more food cooked with/over dung” (man’s traditions) and finally the TRUE bread will be brought out of the storehouse, broken, and provided to the masses.
I am so amazed… and humbled… to be living in “such a time as this.”
May the Lord be glorified and His Name be magnified!

What do you do with the verse before it?
The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. (Revelation 8:7)
That must happen first. We haven’t seen it.
So, this must be a shadow and a type.

David, good point and question. At this time I do not think that we are going to see a literal fulfillment of all these prophecies. Rather, it seems to me that these prophecies relate to mankind’s destruction of his own earth. The first trumpet may be related to the ongoing wars we see in the earth. However, it may be that if God allows the threatened war with Iran, this will be the first trumpet, for I believe that if that war occurs it will become a world war. I pray that God reveals his overcomers first and that that war is averted.
If that war occurs, then I think that what we now see in the Gulf may well simply be a type and shadow and that the destruction to come will dwarf this.
It grieves my spirit to see mankind destroy his own earth. I pray that God will mercifully avert the total destructions the trumpets indicate.
